"My name is Larry Sawyer. I was raised in Amherst and lived in the Dallas area for five years before moving back to Amherst to join my family's Custom Harvesting business. I now build houses and remodel homes all around the Lamb County area. I love to snow ski, play basketball and travel all over watching my kids participate in school activities.

I joined the WesTex Allied Communities during its initial period of developing a director group. I have always been community-minded and would love for these smaller towns to enjoy the prosperity they once experienced. The only way to accomplish that is to get involved and encourage locals to run local businesses. We can do whatever we set our minds to. When enough people set their minds to encouraging people to pursue their dreams, the quicker our towns will see some sort of revival. I just hope I can be a little part of that."
